WHAT WE DO

The Ghadiri group synthesize nanomaterials with sophisticated characteristics. The application of these materials and systems generally fall into two main categories: solar energy conversion and biocompatible bioelectronics interfacing the world of nanotechnology, biology, optoelectronics and biomedical science.

Our interest involves understanding the photochemical and photophysical characteristics of these systems. To this aim we integrate our home-built state-of-the-art ultrafast laser spectroscopy techniques to elucidate the photochemical and photophysical characteristics of these systems. This includes the ultrafast light-driven charge carrier processes happening in time frames of femtoseconds to milliseconds in the bulk of nanomaterials, organic pigments, dyes and at their interfaces.
